Healthy and delicious French quiche of ham, sundried tomato and spinach served with tomato and basil French bread and cottage cheese

First being made in medieval Europe, the quiche is actually said to originally have derived from the Germans, but the recipe was quickly adapted by the French, especially in the region of Lorraine. The term ‘quiche’ derives from the German word ‘kuchen’, meaning ‘cake’, but this dish is not at all as unhealthy as a cake. Quiches are high in protein and other great nutrients and vitamins thanks to the milk and egg content, making them ideal for any non-vegan diet. Rather than an unhealthy pastry crust, a pre-baked base of sweet potato has been used in this recipe to create a nice, light, niche quiche!
